I am the Coral Terrace Elementary D.A.R.E. officer, assigned by the Miami-Dade Police Department Community Affairs Bureau. I’ve had the pleasure of teaching the D.A.R.E. program to all 5th grade students since the 2000-2001 school year at C.T.E. The D.A.R.E. program teaches students methods in order to avoid illegal substances. It teaches them the consequences of their actions and effective strategies that enable them to deal with any drug related situation.

My goal is for every student to follow the right path for a better tomorrow. I teach my students ways to cope with peer pressure and to follow what they have learned to be the right thing to do. I also advise them to participate in after school activities and other extra-curricular programs that can enrich their lives forever. It has been my pleasure working at Coral Terrace Elementary, and look forward to many more years to come.
